Peace in his Spirit
Romans 8:6-9 (NIV) The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.
Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.
CREATE SPACE FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT BY CLEARING OUT THE WORLD IN YOUR HEART & DRAW CLOSER TO GOD!...
According to the Bible, the Spirit of God comes upon:
1. Those Chosen for a Specific Purpose
Prophets, leaders, and judges received the Spirit to fulfill God’s will.
Example: Samson (Judges 14:6), Gideon (Judges 6:34), Saul (1 Samuel 10:10), and David (1 Samuel 16:13).
2. Those Who Believe in Jesus Christ
The Holy Spirit is given to all true believers in Christ.
Example: “Repent and be baptized... and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38).
3. Those Who Obey God
God gives His Spirit to those who walk in obedience.
Example: “We are witnesses... so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.” (Acts 5:32).
4. Those Who Are Born Again
The Holy Spirit dwells in believers as a mark of salvation.
Example: “If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.” (Romans 8:9).
5. Those Who Seek and Ask for the Holy Spirit
Jesus promised that those who ask will receive.
Example: “How much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:13).
6. Those Who Preach and Proclaim God's Word
The Spirit empowers people to boldly share the gospel.
Example: Peter at Pentecost (Acts 2:4, Acts 4:31).
7. Those Who Are Humble and Dependent on God
God resists the proud but fills the humble with His Spirit.
Example: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” (Psalm 34:18).
